About Me
Living Cities was my BFA Capstone Project at Parsons School of Design. It is based upon the principles outlined in the book Biophilic Cities by Timothy Beatley, but focuses in on smaller scale interventions. Our urban population is currently experiencing a nature deficit, that is leading to an overall decline in physical & mental health, cognitive ability, and breakdown in systems thinking & interspecies empathy. The Living Bench is a potential response to how can we can reimagine cities to better incorporate nature into our lives. It asks, can we build a world where nature, rather than being excluded from cities, becomes a fundamental building block in our infrastructure?
